What am I doing?

Still here...

We have now moved past the clearance letter debacle.  Now...to do the I-800A paperwork.  It's more government pre-approval stuff that has a chunk of money attached.  I don't mean to sound down, but I have been getting easily overwhelmed.  Just when I finish one task, there is a stack of paperwork and a large amount of funds needed for the next "assignment."  I'm going to keep going because I know this is what God wants.
I'm thankful that Rob is my anchor.  He pulls me up when I feel like I'm falling apart.  When it seems too much for me to deal with, he steps in and brings stability to the situation.  *chuckles* It's very apparent why the Father put us together.
Anyway...this week, we'll be getting all of the money together and fill out the rest of the I-800A stuff and send it off.  I'm getting agitated just thinking about all of the signatures and notorizing that will have to be done for the dossier packet.  One thing at a time, one thing at a time...
I found out that the adoption process for Thailand is much longer than first thought.  I understood it to be a year when we started in January.  It seems that it is closer to three years give or take.  I have been tempted on more than one occasion to switch to China.  But...God continually reminds me through close friends, dreams and words that seem to be written especially for me from the Bible, that we are to stay the course.  He has chosen a specific child for us from Thailand and his new name will be Jackson.  It's gonna be worth it.  Jackson is worth it.
So I say to myself, "Suck it up, cowboy!"  (or should I say "cowgirl?")
Blessings,
Kelsey

  1. That little guy will be worth the wait. You are right. The Lord has put you on a specific course, with a specific child as the prize. Hang on friend...keep leaning on Jesus. He will give you strength when you feel like you cannot go on another second. I love you.

  2. Hi! I just found you through my followers list on my blog. Hang-in-there! It is a long wait, it took almost exactly two years for us to adopt our teenage daughter. But, it's been well worth it.
