Ok. That's All I've Got To Say

All righty then.  :P  We had an issue (or several to be exact) with our I-800A application.  Immigration thought we needed more evidence (or different evidence) to complete what we had sent into them.  We had 45 days to get it done or start over and send in another $800.  Needless to say, we scrambled.  We were able to send it in a week before the cut-off; so we're good on that.
Now we're trying to get the dossier finally done.  Rob and I have made a list of the "easy" things (such a relative term) to do first.  Hopefully, we'll have that done within the next 2 or 3 weeks.  Then, on to the more difficult or time consuming requirements.
But, I have peace knowing that it's ok.  God knows exactly which kid is to become a Raposa and it's all in His timing--not mine.  Thank God for that!
That's the latest update.  Not exciting but we are making progress.

Oh, yeah.  I almost forgot.  I read in another adoptive family's blog something that encouraged me.  They live in Australia, had been waiting years and just now got back from picking up their new son from Thailand.  :)  Anyway...she had mentioned that there were several special needs kids waiting to be adopted.  She saw this little guy with Down Syndrome and she just couldn't stop thinking about him.  She expressed the hope that he would one day be adopted into a loving family that could give him what he needs.  I was encouraged just knowing that there's a little boy out there that matches our description.  I trust God to work out the details whether this is our little guy or someone else's.

Until next time.

he is here - it is the biggest government orphanage in the North, though it has little orphanages that work alongside it. I assume depends on if your agency works with government orphanages or private ones! you should ask!
